HALF-DECENT FINE-ART

For several months now, I have been working on a number of creative projects with the aim of producing and selling fine-art photobooks and prints – with half the profit donated to a variety of charitable causes.

As you will see, the three galleries listed below correspond to three of the five charity groups described on my Charities page – and my plan, in each case, is to add a variety of separate projects under each of these three headings. In due course, I also intend to add at least two more galleries, so as to include projects associated with my “Staying Human” and “Let it Grow!” groups.

I am currently in the process of setting up a set of shopping pages, on which you will be able to order prints and other products from my my fine-art collections. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page and sign up to my free, weekly Half-Decent Bulletin, I’ll be sure to let you know when these pages are up and running!

In the meantime, the three galleries below are already open for online viewing: you can explore them now, by clicking on the button beneath the gallery description.

A WORD OF CAUTION

  • Please note that my Barely Alive! Gallery, as the name suggests, features nude portraits of both male and female models, in outdoor settings.

  • I personally believe all of these images to be ‘Perfectly Decent – by which I mean beautiful, innocent, inoffensive and harmless. I hope you’ll agree!

  • However, this kind of imagery is commonly deemed Not Suitable for Work (NSFW). Please take this into account, when viewing this gallery.

  • LOCAL HEROES

This gallery is home to projects which seek to support and promote the work of small, local and specialised charities. The first of these projects is called “Spring Walks” and it concerns Dorothy House, a hospice charity based in the village of Winsley, near Bath.

  • BARELY ALIVE!

This is the name of a fine-art nude project which seeks to celebrate the vitality and beauty of the human body — and also, to support charities which help people confront some of the deepest problems, vulnerabilities and fears that we associate with it.

  • GOING WILD!

This gallery is dedicated to projects which celebrate wildlife, and seek to promote and support the work of conservation charities. The first of these projects, “Garden Safari”, focuses on the wildlife we can encounter encourage and enjoy at home.
