HALF-DECENT SUPPORT!

On this page, I outline several ways in which you can contribute to the success of this project.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

If you would like to give some really helpful support and encouragement to my half-decent activities, there are a number of different things you can do…

  • The most obvious, of course, would be to think about hiring my services, or buying some of my artwork.

  • If you live within easy travelling range of my Wiltshire studio, you might consider hiring me for a photoshoot or signing up for a photography class.

  • If you live further away, you could take a look at the artwork I have for sale, hire me for digital editing work, or sign up for an online Photoshop class.

  • Wherever you live, you can also subscribe to my newsletter, Half-Decent Photography, for just £2 a month!

In addition to, or maybe, instead of the above – whether or not you wish to hire, subscribe, or buy anything at all (or perhaps, if I’m fully booked!) – there are a couple of really useful things you can still do, if you’d really like to help keep this half-decent show on the road…

PATREONISE ME!

My Patreon page allows you to make a regular monthly donation in support of Half Decent Photography and the work I do. I will donate half my Patreon revenue to the charities I support – and my plan is to alternate through my five charity groups on a monthly basis, so that every month, my Patreon donation is divided equally between the charities within a particular group.

At the moment, my Patreon account is set up very simply, as what Patreonistas call a “tipping jar”. I plan to post regular news and updates on my Patreon home page, and add some higher tiers with perks and benefits, in due course. When this happens, if you’ve sign up as a Patron, you’ll be among the first to know!

LIKE, ENGAGE, FOLLOW, SHARE

Another way you can help is to follow my various accounts on social media and like, comment, retweet and share my posts. This is easy to do and tremendously helpful, as it will really help spread the word and attract attention to what I’m doing. Your active engagement with my social posts might well attract more customers and therefore, more and bigger charity donations than you could possibly donate all by yourself!

You will find my social media links at the bottom of every page on this site – but in order to give this a little more explanation and context I’ve also set up a special “FOLLOW ME!” page, on which I list all my social media accounts and explain what I’ll be regularly posting there. Check it out!

You can also directly promote any of the pages on this website, using the share-buttons on the right of your screen (or at the bottom, if you’re using a phone). Just navigate to a page you like and click on a button to create a new post about it in your twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or LinkedIn account. If you’d like to help spread the word and attract attention to what I’m doing, this is any easy and highly effective way to do it!

DONATE DIRECTLY!

If you wish, you can make a direct donation via PayPal, by clicking on the button below. If you do this, I can’t provide any ‘higher-tier’ perks for generous donors (as I hope to do on Patreon), but if you don’t care about that, there is a benefit; the transaction fee is lower, so more of your money gets through! As with Patreon, I will donate half the value of all donations I receive in this way to the charities I support.

DONATE

COLLABORATE…?

If you are a photographer or videographer, or work professionally in a related field, and you’re inspired by the half-decent approach I’m taking here, it’s just possible you might be interested in the idea of collaborating with me – so as to extend the availability of half-decent creative services and substantially increase the charity revenues this business-model is able to generate.

To be clear, I don’t wish to make any hasty decisions about this, and nor should you! I need to try this out for myself and make sure it works successfully, before getting anyone else involved – and when I do, I’ll be rather picky! My hope, to be honest, is that I’ll be able to select some amazing collaborators who are all a great deal more skilled and talented than I am. People I can learn from, or who have specialities and expertise that I totally lack.

That said, I plan to keep an open mind – and I’ve set up a contact page for would be collaborators to get in touch. Click the button below, and drop me a line!
