This gallery is home to exhibitions featuring projects which support one or more of my Barely Alive group of charities.

Although the images you will see are all, in my opinion, perfectly decent, I fear that some would regard them as “inappropriate” viewing in the workplace, or any public setting. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
BARELY ALIVE! Volume One…
" Barely Alive!" is the title of a creative project I started working on in August, 2021, featuring nude portraits of male and female models, in various carefully-chosen, naturally beautiful outdoor settings.
The primary artistic aim of this project is to interpret the title, “barely alive!”, in a positive and liberating way, celebrating the idea and experience of nudity in terms of vitality, sensuality and freedom. There is also, however, a secondary aim, which is to use the positive conception of “nakedness”, which I'm seeking to promote and express can also be used, I think, to draw attention to its exact opposite. The point, in other words, is to highlight the plight of those who have good reason to feel “barely alive” in a negative sense – whether vulnerable and helpless, oppressed and mistreated, or humiliated and stigmatised.
That's why half of my net income from this project will be divided equally amongst the six charities in my Barely Alive! group, all of which are concerned, in one way or another, with issues relating to the human body – its health and well-being, and our complex, often fraught, emotional relationship with it.
